- Majority of Deforestation.
Biogas is mostly methane gas, which is highly flammable. Each SPARK produces enough gas for up to 6 hours per day of cookng.
10kg's of organic waste, such as cow manure (poo), is fed into the SPARK daily. There is an abundance of organic waste in Africa, but there is not an abundance of firewood.
Organic fertiliser is essential for helping rural farming communities escape poverty. Along with higher profits, it protects farms against drought.
